4 10 - 17 Jan Samoens, near Flaine Neil Thompson E2 S3-4 M2 Off-piste and day tours from a chalet. Using car hire for flexibility, this area offers some good skiing and peaks to explore away from the crowds.

9 24 - 31 Jan Engadine Valley, Switzerland John Hogg IFMGA E1 S2-3 M1 Off-piste training week - combining ski and technique instruction with some great off piste descents and short tours. Very good 3 star hotel / restaurant in the Upper Engadine valley (near St Moritz).
10 24 - 31 Jan Grimentz Rob Collister IFMGA & Tom Saxlund BASI E1 S2-4 M1 A chance to enjoy some superb off-piste skiing and to work on ski technique with expert tuition.
11 30 Jan - 2 Feb Club Meet - Venue TBC Ian Scorah E1-2 S3-4 M1 Club meet for a long weekend. Off piste and day tours from a valley base. Venue to be confirmed (Switzerland / France).
12 31 Jan - 7 Feb Alpes Vaudoises Roger Payne IFMGA John Muskett Co-ordinator E2 S3-4 M2 The week will be based in Leysin, Switzerland. During the week we will use lifts when available, in Leysin and the Alpes Vaudoises system, to give maximum access to steep and interesting off-piste descents. For good off-piste skiers only.
13 8 - 19 Feb Western Caucasus, Russia Bruce Goodlad IFMGA E2 S2-3 M2 The valleys in the Western Caucuses could be designed for ski touring, with mountains and passes around 3-3500m, great snow and nobody there. We plan to explore 2 or 3 valley systems skiing out from a base hut each day accessible by a selection of bizarre Russian vehicles. The logistics are quite complicated, so an early expression of interest is needed.
14 14 - 21 Feb Leopontine Alps, Swiss / Italian Border Neil Thompson E2 S3-4 M2 Starting from All'Acqua and staying at the Mario Luisa and Cristallina Huts. Day tours from each hut - climbing peaks.
15 19 - 28 Feb Wasatch Range, Utah Steve Gould E1-3 S2-4 M2 Based in a hotel in Salt Lake City, unguided day tours from trailheads and resort lifts, experiencing the fantastic Utah powder.
16 21 - 27 Feb Chamonix / Grand St Bernard Isabelle Santoire IFMGA E1-2 S2 M1 Women only trip. The idea is to inspire women to a greater sense of self-sufficiency in a fun relaxed environment. Based in Chamonix for the first 3 days and at the Grand St Bernard hospice for the last 3 days, this week focuses on developing ski touring skills to adapt to the constant variations of mountain terrain. There will be lots of time to share tips and secrets.
17 28 Feb - 7 Mar Gemmi Region, Switzerland Jeremy Whitehead E1 S2 M2 Unguided Seniors’ Tour for over 60s. Generally short ascents (under 900m) at a leisurely pace. 2 days lift-assisted tours from a valley base, and then based at the comfortable Lämmeren Hut.
19 28 Feb - 7 Mar Grimentz Rob Collister IFMGA & Tom Saxlund BASI E1 S2-4 M1 A chance to enjoy some superb off-piste skiing and to work on ski technique with expert tuition.
20 28 Feb - 7 Mar Vorderlanersbach, Zillertal, Austria Roy Ruddle E1 S1-2 M1 "Tourers and Toddlers" family meet. Easy day tours from a valley base, sharing childcare to allow one family member to tour each day.
21 7 - 14 Mar Krippenstein, Austria John Eames BASI E1 S2 M1 On and off-piste BASI coaching and half or full day tours for both telemark and alpine skiers. Krippenstein (in the Dachstein massif) is an off-piste paradise and Austria's answer to La Grave and Andermatt, with easy access to fresh tracks and tours.
22 7 - 14 Mar Tour Soleil Rob Collister IFMGA E2 S2 M2 Variatons on the classic tour close to the the Swiss - Italian border.
23 14 - 21 Mar Western Oberland Julie-Ann Clyma IFMGA E2 S2-3 M2 A hut to hut traverse in this quiet corner of Western Switzerland which usually has excellent snow conditions. The tour benefits from high lift access at the start leading to remote and wild terrain.
24 15 - 21 Mar Klein Walsertal, Austria John Hogg IFMGA E1 S2 M1 Guided day tours at a relaxed pace, with easy climbs of 500m to 800m and gentle to intermediate descents. Based in a lovely 3-star hotel in Klein Walsertal (Austrian province of Voralberg).
25 15 - 20 Mar Silvretta Andy Perkins IFMGA - co-ordinator needed E1-2 S2 M1 Back by popular demand, this tour in the classic Silvretta region provides for Eagles who want a more relaxed approach to touring with consecutive nights in comfortable huts.
26 21 - 28 Mar Arolla area Rob Collister IFMGA E3 S2 M3 Hut to hut tour starting from Arolla, with a summit every day. Confidence with axe and crampons essential.
27 21 - 28 Mar Albula Alps Rob Greaves E2 S2 M2 A traverse of the range from the Julier Pass north eastwards to the Grialetsch hut. Most days involve up to 1200m of ascent, with optional ascents of adjacent peaks if the weather permits. The undoubted highlight is the night spent in the Art Deco splendour of the Kurhaus in Bergun, a very pretty small town.
28 22 - 27 Mar Stubai Andy Perkins IFMGA - co-ordinator needed E2 S2 M2 This classic 6 day circuit will go anti-clockwise round the head of the Stubaital, taking in peaks as appropriate.
29 28 Mar - 4 Apr Bivio, Switzerland Nick Nicholls & Dan Carron E1-2 S2 M1 A week of day tours and off-piste skiing of a not-too-demanding nature. Based in a hotel in the small town of Bivio where ski opportunities abound.
30 28 Mar - 4 Apr Urner Alps John Eames E2 S2-3 M2 A classic hut to hut traverse in central Switzerland, for both competent telemark and alpine ski tourers. This is an 'off the beaten track' tour in a little-known but easily accessed area with an adventurous feel, skiable peaks and some cracking descents.
31 28 Mar - 5 Apr Silvretta Adam Livett E2 S2 M2 Classic Silvretta Traverse staying in the excellent huts for which the area is renowned. The route from Ischgl to Galtur will follow the border between Austria and Switzerland, hopefully taking in the summits of the Piz Buin and the Dreilanderspitze amongst others.
32 29 Mar - 3 Apr Hohe Tauern, Austria Andy Perkins IFMGA - co-ordinator needed E3 S3 M2 The Hochtirol Haute Route. This tour will start in Matrei in the Virgental and finish with an ascent of the Grossglockner, Austria’s highest peak. Physically challenging ascents with proportionate reward on the descents!
33 4 - 11 Apr Lyngen Alps, Norway Rupert Hoare Co-ordinator. IFMGA guided. E2 M2 S3 Lyngen is a peninsular with spectacular "Alpine" peaks in Arctic Norway, east of Tromso. In April there is still snow down to fiord level. We will be based at Lyngen Lodge and transported by speed boat for each day's skiing with an IFGMA guide.
34 4 - 11 Apr Central Pyrenees Peter Edgerton E3 M3 S3 A circular route using a mixture of wardened and unwardened huts.
35 11 - 18 Apr Haute Maurienne Andy Teasdale IFMGA E2 S2 M2 First tour for those who have recently completed an Alpine Training Course, taking in some of the finest peaks in the stunning area between the Vanoise and Gran Paradiso National Parks.
36 11 Apr - 16 May Lhagu Glacier, Tibet Dave Wynne-Jones E4 S3 M3 The club expedition to the Kangri-Garpo range of Eastern Tibet exploring the Lhagu glacier in Tibet (35km long) with a view to making first ascents of some of the 6000m peaks at the head of the glacier. The expedition was originally planned for 2008, but difficulties obtaining the permit forced the re-scheduling.
37 17 - 26 Apr Val d’Anniviers, Swiss Valais Steve Gould E2 S3 M3 Hut to hut tour exploring the area to the south of Grimentz and Zinal, including ascents of the Bishorn and Brunegghorn if conditions allow. The tour will include ice axe and crampon work carrying skis.
38 18 - 24 Apr Bonneval-sur-Arc Phil Jardine E2 S2 M2 A hut to hut tour around the head of the valley above the delightful unspoilt village of Bonneval-sur-Arc. Following a warm up day on Saturday we will visit the refuges Carro, Evettes and d'Avérole returning to Bonneval at the end of the week. Bonneval can be reached by TGV to Modane and taxi from there, so this tour will appeal to low carbon devotees.
39 18 - 25 Apr Pennine 4000ers Roger Payne IFMGA E3 S3 M3 This is a week for fit, experienced ski tourers that will take in a range of 4000m summits, as weather and conditions allow, on a traverse from Saas Fee to Zermatt.
40 22 Apr - 1 May Haute Route Andy Perkins IFMGA - co-ordinator needed E2 S3 M2 This classic Chamonix to Zermatt Haute Route has a mid week start and is spread over ten days. Huts are quieter and we have 3 days in reserve to reach Zermatt in the event of bad weather.
41 25 Apr - 4 May Gran Paradiso Paul Cooper E2 S2 M2 Classic hut to hut tour, including ascent of the Gran Paradiso.
42 26 Apr - 1 May Bernese Oberland Rick Marchant IFMGA - co-ordinator needed E3 S3 M2 Late April is a perfect time to tour in this high glaciated area which contains many spectacular and well known high peaks. The aim of this week is to focus on big summits and quality descents - advanced to expert skiers in very good physical condition are best equipped to fully enjoy this week.
43 9 - 17 May Bernina Steve Wright E2 S3 M2-3 Late season hut to hut tour in this spectacular area of SE Switzerland, with an attempt on the the Piz Benina - the most easterly 4000m peak in the Alps.

Please enclose a stamped self addressed envelope of suitable size and 10p worth of stamps for each tour, to cover the cost of photocopying.

Training Grants: Participants on some tours may be eligible for a grant of £50 per head. Others could attract a leader-training grant. See detailed explanation in the Ski Touring Notices.

The Club also has its own Child Protection Policy,PDF in accordance with which, children under 18, except where expressly invited, are normally only accepted at the organiser's discretion.
