Training camp for SkiMo races led by Ben Bradford (UIAGM) and Ian Innes (World Cup SkiMo racer), making use of the extensive facilities in the Chamonix Valley. There will also be an opportunity to compete in the race at Les Marécottes at the end of the week (see separate entry below).

A valley-based meet in "Le Christiania Hotel" in Areches where we have a group booking. The meet is open to all experienced members, with an opportunity to explore some of the terrain of the famous Pierre Menta race. Attendance will be limited so an early application is recommended.

A Six day course preparing younger members to tour independently. Aimed at those with some touring experience who wish to progress to tour in peer led groups, or take on more complex multi-day tours.

A circular tour in the Vallée de la Clarée, involving long days with ascents exceeding 1400m, at an expected 350–400m p/h with several summit ascents. Meet in Briancon before start/finishing in Névache and taking in Refuges du Chardonnet, des Drayères, and de Ricou. Low-carbon travel preferred.

Hotel based off-piste skiing (6 full days) with some short easy ski tours allowing long runs downhill. Maximum group size of 10 persons with a second Swiss Off-piste instructor. Based in a comfortable family run hotel in Klosters.

In the 2024 Club Survey, the top two skills that members would like to improve were cited as “Avalanche awareness, assessment of snow conditions & route planning” (66%) and Off Piste Skiing Technique (58%). This two day course will address these priorities

The Argentiere club meet is an opportunity to meet new and experienced members. With a choice of member-led and member to member day tours based in the Chamonix Valley, plus guided day tours and training available.

A week of day tours based in self catering accommodation in Bivio. A number of tours are accessible from the village and we will also use the post bus to get around.

A budget-friendly long weekend exploring the hidden gem ski mountaineering and off-piste in San Domenico and Alpe Devero, retaining a flexible attitude travelling to different Magic Pass areas to find the best snow if necessary.

I visited the Val Clarée for the first time in 2016 and saw its attraction for early season touring at a modest level. This beautiful valley has comfortable huts and attainable summits. It lends itself to flexible days with ascents up to 900m, ideal for those looking for a low stress tour.
