6 days of hut to hut touring, between 13-29km/day, carrying 10KG packs, staying in basic cabins with wood burning stoves. Rated as one of the five most beautiful ski tours in the world! Traditional Finnmark touring over gentle terrain but requiring robust fitness for some long days.

The Silvretta offers fine glaciated ski-touring and is popular for flexible touring options and good huts. This is an unguided, member led trip but would be suitable for newer members with the right skills. Ideally we will take in the Piz Buin (3312m).

A subsidised introductory course for novice ski-tourers, aimed at attracting new younger members and developing their skills so that they are supported to access other Club tours in future.

The combination of ski instruction and guiding enables participants to develop their skiing skills. On the guided day tours we'll find the best snow available to test our new skills.

Six day south to north linear traverse of the Swiss Urner Alps using a mixture of SAC huts, hotels and hostels. Prior experience of hut to hut touring is required, as is good all-round fitness and mountain craft. We will start and finish in Engelberg,to facilitate leaving ski bags and travel clothes

Five-day tour aiming to develop the different skills and experiences of alpine ski-touring and off-piste skiing for members in their 20s and 30s with a number ski-touring experience . The course combines valley-based day-tours with a 3-day journey to a mountain hut. Based in south-west Switzerland.

This tour, of the Otztaler mountains in the Austrian Tyrol, plans to follow the classic “Vent Loop” starting and finishing in the high mountain village of Vent.

Based in the Val d'Herens, this week is aimed at skiers who want to tour at a relaxed pace, climbing up to 500m each day, with long descents in some of the lesser-skied areas of the valley.

A week of day tours based on Kvaloya, an island west of Tromso known for its reliable snow and varied terrain.

Ischgl - Galtur via the Jamtal hutte, Weisbadener hutte, Piz Buin.  Plan is to to stay 2 night stays in two of the huts for contingency and to allow for some day tours.
