Their cylinder manufacturer has discovered that their process has allowed machining residues into the cylinders which can cause blockages and activation failures. Three incidents of failure have occurred, all in training or demonstration situations. If your Airbag was in sealed packaging and you know it has never been activated then only the cylinder needs to be replaced. Only black European steel cylinders are affected. Not yellow north american steel cylinders and not carbon cylinders. European cylinders first filled on or after 3/12/2014 are not affected.
