From Chanrion to Bertol, missing out the Vignettes hut

Hello

Unfortunately the Vignettes Hut is full for the dates I plan to do the Arolla Circuit.

Is it practical to go direct from the Chanrion hut to the Bertol hut, missing out the Vignettes hut?

How long would it take, assuming reasonable conditions?  It seems like a fairly routine slog up the Gl. de Otemma to Col d'Eveque, Col Collon, and thence into the Haut Gl. d'Arolla.  Has anyone done this in one push?

What are the best alternatives?

Is the Bouquetins hut bookable?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Paul

You do not need to book the Bouquetin Refuge. If it is full (sleeps 12), there is an adjacent store hut with sleeping places. There is plenty of wood for the stove.and a state of the art portaloo perched on the edge overlooking the glacier.

Thank you for your reply.

Actually we left the Chanrion at 7 am.  Took in the Point d'Oren and got down the Glacier d'Arolla to the Plan de Bertol area by around 14:30.  We could probably have reached the Cab Bertol in good time, but decided instead to go into Arolla.
