Several weeks of snowfall and generally cold temperatures, with more of the same forecast! For a few days Cauterets in the Pyrenees couldn't open one of its lifts as 5 metres of snow had buried the cable of the lift ... it's still showing 5.8 metres at 2400 m. Transformation has been slow so even off-piste remains remarkably good in most places.

Hi Mike - I would second that. Back from a fantastic week staying in Luz a week ago. Was with a group of eagles (organised by David and Anne Pinney).
There was very high avalanche risk so not good for touring while we were there - hopefully snow should settle and touring will be fabulous.
We managed some amazing powder just within some of the resort areas....almost drowning in very light powder in Cauterets!.
